About Us

Vermilion Stores is a family run business based in Glasgow. Our shop is somewhere in between a (very small) department store, a gift shop and a cabinet of curiosities. We source a little bit of something for everyone, with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship and visual splendour. 

We ( Terri and Angus), have been running our current shop in Glasgow under the Vermilion Stores name since 2021.Previous to this in 2016 we set up our first business together as Flowers Vermilion was born and our association with the Vermilion name begun.

Flowers Vermilion still runs today and is a highly artistic florists specialising in wedding and event floristry and editorial work. To check out this part of our work please visit our website at www.flowersvermilion.com

Terri and I both studied art and have always been passionate about art, design, aesthetics and objects. As the years went by in the early days of our business, the little flower shop we were running became more and more full, but not just with more and more flowers but with more and more objects! We just loved sourcing new things for our customers and searching for the most beautiful, colourful, functional, fun or absurd things we could find.

We hope you like our shop, it has been drawn on our love for design, our love for our children (hence the kids section) and our time traveling and living around the world together (see particular Scottish, German and Japanese influences).
